Chili Con Carne Recipe

Materials:
• 1 tablespoon of olive oil
• 1 medium onion
• Half a kilo of ground beef
• 2,5 tablespoons of ground red pepper (you can reduce according to your taste)
• 2 tablespoons of cumin
• 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
• 3 cloves of garlic
• 1.5 teaspoons of sea salt
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
• 350 ml broth
• 2 cups of chopped tomatoes
• 2 cups of red Mexican beans (canned ones do not need to be boiled beforehand)
• 1 glass of tomato puree
• 1 glass of sweet corn (optional)

Fabrication:
• Turn on the bottom of the pot on medium heat. Add the chopped onion to the pot and fry in oil for 5 minutes.
• Then add the chopped garlic and continue frying for 2 more minutes.
• Add the minced meat to the pot and stir-fry for 6-7 minutes.
• Add ground red pepper, cumin, tomato paste and salt.
• Add the broth, chopped tomatoes, boiled beans and tomato puree to the pot and mix well.
• When it starts to boil, lower the bottom of the pot and let the food cook for another 20-25 minutes on low heat without closing the lid of the pot. Stir every few minutes. In the meantime, you will allow the food to absorb some water and intensify the flavors.
• Cover the bottom of the pot and let your chili rest for 10 minutes before serving.
• It is commonly served with sour cream and grated cheese.
• We suggest you make a difference with a little touch and serve it with a warm slice of cornbread or rice and yogurt.
