Spinach Egg Recipe
When we say spinach pie, creamy spinach soup, spinach dinner, it would be impossible not to prepare an egg with spinach for a light meal or a large weekend breakfast.
You can say that my egg is undercooked but with plenty of butter.
One of the most classic practical dishes is spinach with eggs. The spinach is roasted in 5-10 minutes and the eggs are cracked into it. Some mix the egg with spinach, while others make it undercooked without spoiling the yolk, as I do. I generally like egg yolk this way anyway. That’s why, in this recipe, I cook the same method and leave the egg yolk in a bread-soaking consistency. Of course, I give my bread while I’m leaving.

You can use onions in the recipe if you wish. But onions add a nice aroma and flavor, especially when roasted well, if you don’t have a very important reason, don’t do it without onions.

Try to cook by adding as little water as possible, as the spinach will release enough water.
Cooking Suggestion for Spinach Egg Recipe
You can choose to use frozen spinach, you can adjust the consistency of the egg yolk according to your taste. You can add 1 teaspoon of tomato or pepper paste while you fry the spinach, if desired.
How to Make Spinach Egg Recipe?
After draining the juice of the sorted and cleaned spinach, finely chop it.
Chop the onion into small pieces. After heating the olive oil in a wide-bottomed pan, fry the onions until they turn a light color.
Add the drained spinach and continue the roasting process for another 3-4 minutes.
Add water and continue cooking on low heat for 5 minutes. Season the sauteed spinach mixture with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Make room on the roasted spinach as much as the egg you will use according to the number of people or your desire.
Carefully crack the eggs whole into the slots you opened. Spinach egg; Continue to cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat in the pan with the lid closed.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add sumac and fry for 1 minute.
After drizzling the buttery sauce you prepared on the spinach eggs, share it with your loved ones without keeping them warm.
