500 g chestnut mushrooms (Sliced)
3 large tomatoes (grated)
1 large red onion (fine and diced)
3-4 fresh chili peppers (finely chopped)
1 root ginger (thumb-sized and finely chopped)
4-5 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon of chili paste
1 teaspoon Garam masala
2-3 tablespoons of sunflower oil
fennel seeds
1-3 curry leaves
coriander seeds
Salt
Black pepper
Red pepper
Powdered red pepper
How to Make Mushroom Masala
Put the sunflower oil in the pan and add the fennel, coriander seeds and curry leaves. After reserving one tablespoon each of dry onion and fresh pepper for serving, add onion, green pepper, garlic and root ginger and sauté for 2 minutes.
Then add tomato, salt, black pepper, chili pepper paste and let it boil for 6-7 minutes.
Finally, add the mushrooms and cook for 5-6 minutes with the lid closed. Open the lid and cook on medium heat for another 6-7 minutes until the water thickens and absorbs.
Take it on a serving plate and sprinkle the onion and fresh pepper on it. Serve with strained yogurt.
