300 g oat biscuits
150 g butter, melted
1 x 397 g condensed milk
3 medium egg yolks
Juice of 4 limes and zest (can be used in lemon)
300 ml cream
1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
Extra lime zest to garnish (can be used on lemon)


How to Make Key Lime Pie


Crush the cookie in a food processor. If you don’t want to use a food processor, you can put it in a plastic bag and crush it with a rolling pin.
Mix the melted butter with the powdered cookies, press the bottom and sides of the 22 cm springform tin.
Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated 180 degree oven. Remove and cool.
Put the egg yolks in a large bowl and beat with a hand mixer.
Add the condensed milk and beat for 3 minutes, then add the finely grated lemon zest and the juice of 4 lemons and whisk again for 3 minutes.
Pour the filling over the cooled springform pan and then bake for 20 minutes. Refrigerate at least 3 times.
When it is ready to be served, carefully remove it from the container and place it on the serving plate.
To decorate, beat the cream and powdered sugar lightly until foamy.
Pour or squeeze the cream onto the cake. Finish with extra lemon zest. Enjoy your meal.
