How to Remove Oil Stain – Practical Methods
How to remove oil stain from clothes and carpet? What should be done to remove the waiting oil stain? Here are 6 practical ways to remove oil stains:

1-Carbonate
Pour baking soda on the oil stain and rub gently with a wet toothbrush. If the oil stain is tomato paste, you can mix dish soap and baking soda and apply it on the stain. You can also allow the stain to come out by soaking small pieces of clothing in a mixture of carbonated water.
2- Dishwashing Liquid
Pour the dish soap on the stained area and wait for 5 minutes. Then wipe this area with the help of a warm cloth and machine wash your clothes on a low level. Make sure that the detergent you will use is not lemon based. Lemon can cause discoloration on fabrics.
3- Salt
Salt is one of the methods applied especially when the oil stain is newly formed. Cover the stain with table salt and wait 10 minutes. Then remove the salt with warm water. Pour laundry detergent onto the stain and wait another 10 minutes. You can then machine wash your clothing on a low temperature. Salt lifts the stain from the fabric. Detergent, on the other hand, prevents salt stains.
4- Baby Powder
It is very effective on delicate fabrics such as baby powder, silk, satin. Pour baby powder over the oil stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. In the meantime, wet the cotton cloth and press it on the powder so that the stain is transferred to the cloth. Then wash your clothing on a low temperature.
5 – Ether
Ether, a volatile substance, is ideal for removing stains from synthetic fabrics. To perform this method, soak a clean cloth in ether. Then gently rub the stain on the fabric with this cloth. Since ether is a very strong substance, you should apply this process outdoors.
6-Starch
Starch is very effective in removing stains from wool fabrics and sweaters. Sprinkle a tablespoon of starch over the oily area. Place a wet cloth on the stain and press lightly to allow the stain to penetrate the cloth. You can see that the starch removes the newly formed stains in a short time.
