Chestnut Soup Recipe

Chestnut soup, which will warm you up in the cold weather, will bring the people of the house to the table early with its fragrant smell. Do not forget to consume chestnuts, which are rich in vitamins and minerals and a rich source of fiber, as a soup during the winter months.

Chestnut Soup Recipe

Chestnut Soup Materials:

  • 500 g chestnuts
  • 1.5 liters of chicken stock
  • 1 diced onion
  • 9-10 sprigs of finely chopped parsley
  • 125 ml of cream
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of sunflower oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation of Chestnut Soup :

Scratch the chestnuts with a knife and bake them in an oven preheated to 220 degrees for about 20 minutes until the shells can be peeled.

After cooling, peel the chestnuts.

Saute the onion in a saucepan. Then add the chestnuts and chicken broth.

Then add cloves, parsley, granulated sugar and bay leaf, respectively.

Cook for 40 minutes on low heat until the chestnuts are completely soft.

Transfer the soup with the cream to the food processor and puree.

Flavour with salt and blackpepper.

If the consistency is dark, you can add some water.

Sprinkle with parsley on top and serve hot.
